Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with twelve other kids. Her vivid imagination helped her escape from the harsh realities of everyday life. Her songs were written before she could read or write. At the age of 8years old, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. In the following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. Even though she became an established local celebrity while at high school, her ambitions were greater. The singer moved to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums on Monument Records. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his television show that was syndicated. Parton accepted the role in 1966, was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to No. In 1974, the song by Parton I Will Always Love You climbed to No.
