Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able to act, direct production, create plays, teach, and be Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of a Briton as well as a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. As a child, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to further her acting career. After that, she settled to Los Angeles (California) over the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in the year 2009. The couple was married at a civil wedding ceremony in ended in December. They they renewed their vows at an Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April of 2011 after Anna's conversion to Judaism.
