
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16th 1989) is an American actress from the United States. Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She began acting when she was four years old. Olsen starred in her first film part in the thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene in 2011, for which she was widely praised and nominated for an Critics' Choice Film Award and other awards, following which she starred in the horror film Silent House. Olsen was awarded an BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination and was a graduate of New York University two years later. Olsen was acknowledged for her performance as the role of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch in Marvel Cinematic Universe media. She appeared in the films of superheroes Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) as well as Captain America: Civil War (2016). The actress was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award as well as winning a Golden Globe Award for her performance in WandaVision. She was co-producer and lead actor in Sorry for Your Loss (2018), receiving a Critics Choice Television Award nomination acting as widow.
